Puppies in the Mountains! Info Page

When: Friday October 14 at 7:00 pm & Saturday October 15 at 1:00 pm 2011

Please read the Rules of the Mats!

Puppies in the Mountains! begins on Friday at 7pm when the club opens to the public and participants for the mosh pit playtime.  We'll wrap up when the pups are pooped (or midnight).  We will NOT stay overnight at the club.  The second day of play starts Saturday morning at 1pm with a class/discussion group and then it's back to the mats again!  Both days are open to anyone interested, no prior puppy or trainer/handler experience required. Playtime ends around 5pm.

Where: The Denver Sanctuary

Love Slave is the proprietor of the Denver Sanctuary, and we are returning to the Sanctuary for our second year.  You do not have to be a member of the Denver Sanctuary to attend Puppies in the Mountains!  You must be at least 19 years old with legal id to attend. The Denver Sanctuary is located close to downtown Denver, near the intersection of I25 and 6th Avenue.  For more detailed location info, call Love Slave at (720) 291-4603.

Cost: $30/person

We are working to make Puppies in the Mountains an affordable and fun event to attend.  Local organizations are pledging support to us, and everyone wants this see the puppies romp and play!

Who can attend:

Minimum Age to Attend is 19 year old with legal id

Pups, Dogs, Trainers, Handlers, curious people, and anybody else who wants to drop by.  Members of the Denver boys of Leather are organizing this event, and per the club's mission: The Denver boys of Leather is a group of self-identified leatherboys. The term leatherboy is defined as broadly as possible with the intent of being inclusive, and boy not being based on sex, gender, sexual orientation, age, or appearance. Our purpose is to gather in brotherhood and boyhood, supporting our members and our community with respect and integrity.  In the same spirit, puppy/dog are defined as broadly as possible, with the intent of being inclusive, and not based on sex, gender, sexual orientation, age, or appearance.

Who cannot attend:

Four-legged dogs and puppies may not attend the event, unless they are ADA service animals.  Your biological non-human pets need to stay at home for this event. Also, we strongly discourage cat/kitten roleplay at Puppies in the Mountains!  This can invoke a level of unprecedented chaos and potential injury.  Anyone endangering the safety of the puppies will be ejected from the event.

Who's behind this mischief:

Boy Doug, Brother of the Denver boys of Leather, poured his heart, soul, and tail into getting this event moving.  Blame Doug. <wink>  And if you have event questions, email them to Boy Doug.

Daddy Don, Club Advisor to the Denver boys of Leather, is a great fan of puppies.  He encouraged Doug and supports him to make this a fantastic event for everyone.  You can email event questions to Daddy Don as well.
